가이드는 직접 설명하는 게 맞다고 생각한다. interpreter는 관광객이 어떤 부류인가에 상관없이 일방적으로 진행되지만, 직접 설명은

앞으로도 방문할 예정입니다. 제주도 이외에도 남해와 맛집 탐방을 위해 여수, 그리고 서울과 가까우면서도 산과 바다를 볼 수 있는 강화도도 추천하고 싶습니다.

NY에서 Homeless를 위한 concert에서 volunteer를 했고, NY marathon 동호회 회원들과 7마일 완주함, 또한 오스트리아에서 자전거를 타고 wine vinery 방문한 경험이 있습니다.

오스트리아 빈에서 자동차를 타고 짤츠부르크 가는 광경이 인상 깊었습니다. 가는 길 전부가 테마파크에 온 것 같았습니다. NY 에서 자원봉사 할 때 나이드신 할아버지, 할머니도 참석하시는 그런 문화가 인상 깊었습니다. 크로아시아 자그레브에서 헝가리 부다페스트 가는 기차에서 만난 Mr.Mrs Bakery 부부가 기억에 남습니다. 7시간 동안 이야기 하고 같이 팝송도 부르고, 본인이 준비한 샌드위치도 나눠 먹었습니다.

D-17 어디서 일하고 싶은가

기회가 된다면 일반 관광객 대상이 전문직을 대상을 한 법인에서 일하거나, 저와 비슷한 의식을 가진 분들과 창업을 하고 싶습니다.

D-18 어떻게 준비해 왔는가?

예전부터 한국사 공부에 관심이 있었고 외국인 친구들에게 한국에 대하여 충분한 설명을 하지 못해 아쉬움을 느끼던 차에 우연히 관광통역안내사 시험에 대한 구체적인 정보를 얻고 지난 3월부터 혼자 준비 했습니다.

D-19 인생에서 가장 중요한 것?

정신적 행복, 정신적 풍요로움이 가장 중요한 것 같습니다. 이를 위해 인생을 즐길 줄 아는 지혜가 필요하다고 생각합니다.

D-20 한류 세트장 가본 적 있는지? 개선점은...

드라마세트장 간 경험이 있음, 주기적으로 최소한 새로운 시도가 있어야 한다고 봅니다. 최초의 모습 그대로, 관리도 안되고 구태의연한 마케팅만 고집 한다면 더 이상 관광객이 찾아가는 곳이 되지 않을 것 입니다.

D-30 유럽 관광객들에게 어필하는 방법은

캄보피아 앙코르와트만 가보더라도 남아프리카, 유럽 관광객들이 많이 찾지만 한국은 중국과 미국 관광객들에게 편중 된 것 같다. 서양을 쫓아가는 것이 아니라 한국 전통적인 것을 조금 더 가다듬고 세계화 시킬 때 유럽 관광객들을 끌어들이는 동기가 될 것이다.

D-31 가이드로서 무슨 일을 하고 싶은가

뻔한 관광지를 방문하는 것이 아니라 한국 만의 특징을 느낄 수 있는, 시간에 쫓기는 여행이 아니라 그 순간(moment)를 기억할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 만들어서 좋은 추억을 선물하고 싶습니다.

D-32 여행가는 목적

삶의 목적이 무엇인지 다시 한번 깨닫고, 나 자신에 대해서 생각할 수 있는 시간을 갖기 위해서 입니다.

그리고 무엇보다고 새로운 곳에서 새로운 경험을 통해서 시야를 넓히고 그런 경험이 가장 행복하기 때문입니다.

누가 없어졌는지를 우선적으로 파악하고, 다른 관광객들에게 목격 했는지를 질문해 본다. 더불어 미리 나눠준 응급시 비상연락망을 주기적으로 확인하고, 수시간 안에 회신 없을 경우 경찰에 신고한다.

POPULATION
